Curtis has been teaching in the Washington County School District for 28 years. He is currently teaching k-5 music at Sunset and Bloomington Elementary schools and is the District Elementary Music Chair. In 2004 Curtis received the KUED/PTA Utah Golden Apple Award, and in 2009 was named the Utah Music Educators Elementary Teacher of the Year. Curtis is married and is father to 5 boys. He enjoys basketball, stamp collecting, playing the keyboard in a local rock band,and traveling in China.
